Here i am! ready to begin my biggest adventure! Outside the plane window looking at the Sydney Harbor

Here i am in front of the amazing Sydney Opera House. Later on, we got a tour including a backstage tour.

The Sydney Opera House took 14 years to build and around 20 million dollars in expenses! It was originally planned to take 4 years to build and only 7 million dollars.

Unfortunately it was cold, and it was rainy. But that didn't stop us from having fun!

Here is a veiw of down town Sydney. See the skinny tower on the left? That is called the Sydney Sky Tower. It is around 900 ft tall. and we got to go to the top observation deck outside! we were around 800ft up and the wind was blowing at 70mph! Luckly we were harnessed on, no one was going to blow away!

Here's a group of us girls in front of the Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
From left to right we have Kara, Rachel, Erin, Tahvia, Molly, Sarah, Jess, Allison, Bri, and Me!

The first time we saw kangaroos!!! Aren't they cute! and yes, they are soft. We were at a place called Billabong Sactuary, which was like a zoo, and the kangaroos just hopped around on the paths with the people! It was so cool.

That is me, flying by on a zip line that is 400ft long, and 100ft high!!

These next several pictures are taken at the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium. Here, we learned about some of the animals that live in the Reef.

This to the right is called a lion fish...one of my favorites!

We called this fish Wolly. We learned that he loves attention and you can pet him while swimming in the Great Barrier Reef!!

Only one picture is needed to show what the outback of Australia looks like. I have many pictures like this. We would see a herd of kangaroos or camels and all rush to take out our cameras. But by the time mine turned on we had already passed them.

In this picture, you can see a bunch of termite mounds. Gross huh?

Yes! We got to go on camel rides!! This was on a camel farm. Apparently camels in Australia are so overpopulated that they have to deport them to other countries.

This was the first day we saw sunshine! It had rained for close to 2 weeks. Everyone we talked to said it hadn't rained in years, clearly we ended their 7 year drought.

This was in a little town called Boulia. It was as big as Indiana so i guess it wasn't that small, however, it had a population of 600.

Here is a beutiful sunset. This was our substitute farm stay. Our first one was rained out.

A silouette of myslef!

Here we are at Arlie Beach. From here we road this boat for out to the Island we would be staying at for our Reef visit.

Here Im at Long Island. Our boat ride out to the Great Barrier Reef was 2 hours. The Reef streches over 1250 miles and covers an area of over 135,000 miles. Its the only living thing visible from the moon! It has 1500 species of fish living in it. And it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.

This is another view of Long Island. We only stayed for two nights unfortunately. It was my favorite part of the trip.

Here is Brisbane. I stayed with a homestay family for two nights. On our day together we visited the city of Brisbane. In this picture to the right, we are riding a ferryboat down the river.

Here is down town Brisbane from a highup overlook. Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and Australia's third largest city.

Leaving Ausralia. It was the most amazing 3 weeks of my life that i'll never forget. Thank you to everyone that made this journey possible for me.
